The VHMA Education and Program Advisory Panel (EPAG) is accepting proposals for educational programs and learning experiences offered in a variety of virtual and in-person formats. Opportunities may include conferences and regional events, webinars, and shorter virtual micro-learning experiences.
We welcome engaging, relevant, and practical topics that support the professional development of veterinary management professionals. Content should generally be designed for an intermediate to advanced-level audience, including CVPMs and experienced veterinary management professionals.
VHMA is interested in content that can be effectively delivered in one or more formats. Presenters are encouraged to consider how their topic might translate across different learning experiences—from focused virtual micro-learning opportunities to longer, interactive programs.
Know Your Audience
VHMA’s audience is primarily composed of veterinary management and business professionals whose roles focus on overseeing hospital operations, teams, and business performance. Fewer than 10% of VHMA members are veterinarians (DVMs).
Programs must be developed and presented through the lens of the veterinary management professional. Content designed primarily for veterinarians or a clinical audience is not appropriate for VHMA educational programming. Proposals should clearly demonstrate how the topic, examples, applications, and takeaways are relevant to the responsibilities and challenges of veterinary managers and leaders.
A link to the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) Job Task Analysis is provided as a resource to help presenters better understand the role, responsibilities, and professional competencies of veterinary practice managers. Presenters are encouraged to review this resource when developing their proposal to ensure the content is relevant and appropriately tailored to VHMA's management-focused audience.

Recommended: Promotional Video
Presenters are strongly encouraged to include a 30–60 second promotional video introducing themselves and their proposed program. The video should briefly highlight the topic, its relevance to veterinary management professionals, and what participants can expect to gain.
If the program is selected, VHMA may use the submitted video in marketing and promotional efforts for the program and/or event.
We look forward to receiving innovative, practical, and engaging proposals that advance veterinary management professionals and strengthen the practices they lead.
